Beschreibung:
For several years the WHO has made Women's Health one of its priority tasks. Following these principles and the conviction that women suffer from additional stress patterns and show the dynamics of specifically female medical careers, wer have developed the WHO Model Project: Women's Health Promotion in Gynaecological and Obstetric Hospitals. The Model Project was established in 1992 at the "Semmelweis Frauenklinik" hospital in Vienna and will terminate in 1997. The project focuses on three different objectives: 1. Development of a health-care center for women (FEM) which is integrated into the clinic. 2. Organization Dvelopment measures in the clinic. 3. Networking and softening of the rigid boundaries between extramural and intramural healthcare. It can be shown that the Model Project improves the situation of the female staff members and of the women as patients through different organization development strategies. It also increases women's health awareness and promotes a healthy lifestyle by way of the various initiatives of the Women's Health Center.
