Women studying science do so against a backdrop of underrepresentation and exclusion. This chapter reports an attempt to increase the confidence of women science students at one institution - Cambridge University - by developing a personal development programme (PDP) which develops skills and facilitates a network of peers. The questionnaire results which formed the basis for the PDP's content are presented before reporting the responses of the women in the pilot programme. | |
