| Aspects of feminist epistemology and its relationship to feminist ontology are explored in relation to theorisations of "the self", particularly within writing about feminist autobiography. Narrative is herein positioned as considerably more complex than much of this writing suggests. Its complexity is demonstrated through an exploration of "intellectual autobiography", using the author's own uses of narrative in a research diary which focusses on making sense of her mother's self, a self which, following a stroke, appeared to be a self apparently in dissolution. | |
