| This contribution aims at analyzing the perception that the feminist movements of Ticino of the Seventies have on the historical changes occurred during the 20th century. Through the approach of collective interviews we will try to answer to the following questions: In what way do women bellonging to these movements perceive the historical changes? How did they live these changes and how did they influence women’s biographies and feminist position takings? The link between the evolution of women’s movements and the condition of Ticino as a border canton with a linguistic minority, leads us to articulate at least two aspects of analysis: firstly, the function that “the big historical changes” have within the development of feminine and feminist claims. Secondly, and tightly linked to the first aspect, we will focus on the influence that the border condition may have had on the development of the feminist movements of the Italian speaking part of Switzerland. | |
